International Experience: Have worked in the peacebuilding field in the following countries: Cyprus, Ghana, Palestine, Israel, Sierra Leone, Macedonia, Guinea, South Africa, U.S.S.R. and India. I have also studied, lived and/or traveled in many other counties, including Peru, Ecuador, Sri Lanka, India, Japan, China, Mexico, Taiwan, Kenya, Hong Kong, Italy, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Brazil.

Communication/Technology: Proven writing and speaking skills on a variety of levels. Demonstrated ability to communicate well within organizations as well as representing organizations. Possess and enjoy excellent problem solving, editing and computing skills. Highly empathic and intuitive with solid ability to synthesize, bringing issues and people together. Have excellent skills working with computers (hardware and software), and the Internet (for research, communication, distance learning and web site development).

Mediation/Crisis Intervention/Counseling: Certified mediator and Emergency Medical Technician. Have broad counseling background as well as solid skills and training in crisis intervention.

Strategic Liaison, Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP), St. Paul, Minnesota. November 2001 – Present.

Coordinate the Emergency Response Network. Serve as the Co-Chair of the Recruitment and Information Technology Committees helping to lay the groundwork for the Pilot Project. Serve on the Training Committee. Conducted outreach visits on behalf of the NP to Israel, Palestine, Sierra Leone and Guinea. Organized NP talks in Vermont, Massachusetts, California, South Africa and Ghana. Assist in fundraising, outreach and publicity.

Conflict Transformation Across Cultures (CONTACT) is a groundbreaking international peacebuilding program that brings together peacebuilders from around the world. CONTACT has doubled in size and scope during the past four years. Work on curriculum development, faculty selection, publicity and outreach, and web-design, and overall coordination. The Summer Institute involves over 80 peacebuilders from 30 countries from many conflict areas in the world. Responsible for hiring and supervising the Program Assistants, and coordinating the Teaching Fellows.
